Swing is more than just a dance, or a playground activity. Georgians saw an unprecedented swing during the Republican gubernatorial primary. Fifteen points of swing for Karen Handel, mostly at the expense of state insurance commissioner John Oxendine. According to a Mason-Dixon poll released on July 11th, Commissioner Oxendine held an eight point lead. Then something happened. The next poll showed Ms. Handel up by seven points. |

Ron Pittenger writes: Ms Palin drives libs/lefties crazy because she doesn't fit into any of the boxes they want to force us all into. Clearly female and feminine, she isn't rabid enough, or filled with enough hatred for men, to be considered a "feminist." Driven by ideology, not party, she supports those who she thinks best represent her ideals. Unafraid to be responsible for her actions, she challenges others to be responsible for theirs. She is a fitting leader for such an amorphous movement as the TEA Party. Nevertheless, the TEA Party needs to remain separate from the (my) Republican Party. Many teapartiers are not simply members of other parties (some Democrats, many Libertarians, and a whole bunch of truly Independent voters), but would be both dismayed and turned away from the TEA Party if they see it as becoming as hide-bound as the formal politcal parties have become. Better the TEA Party should continue to pick and choose candidates they like from those already running from the formal parties.
Dennis Imwalle writes: Heed my warning Liberal candidates!!! Momma Grizzley promised to hit the Lower 48 campaign trail in August thru the 2010 election. All you libs best check your exit plans. The sweep is coming big time. The election of 2010 is a warmup for 2012.There isn't a relepromter that can keep up with her brain. She will be our next president and send the Bamster back home to Kenya.
Kristy Patullo writes: I couldn't agree with you more, George. Very well said. Sarah Palin does have the added advantage of the Tea Party movement. She's actually said a number of times that they should work in a coordinated effort with the Republican party, not as a third party. I think most of the Tea Party folks agree with that. Which is why they will be a force too strong for the Democratic party to stop. They will show their strength in the 2010 and 2012 elections. And Sarah Palin will benefit, because she was strongly supportive of them from the very beginning.
George Dienhart writes: Thanks all- Even though Sara's candidate did not prevail, I'm sure we will hear alot from her- and the tea party movement
