Horse shooter pleads guilty |

 Jeremy Richardson A south Fayette teenager pled guilty Thursday in Fayette County Superior Court to a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals for the shooting of a horse in Brooks in January.
Judge Tommy Hankinson sentenced Jeremy Ryan Richardson, 17, to five years probation, 300 hours of community service and financial restitution. Richardson also received 60 days in jail and 12 months probation for misdemeanor offenses on unrelated wildlife violations related to deer hunting. Thirty of those days began immediately, and the other half can be served on weekends.
In January, Misty, an 8-year-old mare, owned by Brooks residents Nancy and Ralph Padovano, was discovered in her pasture on Bankstown Road, shot many times with arrows. Misty is still recovering from the attack and will have lasting physical problems.
Richardson, a student at Whitewater High, was arrested within days of the shooting. He apologized to the Padovanos in court Thursday.
